See the cash decisions ahead

Historical reports explain what happened. A cash flow forecast and focused dashboard help you prepare for payroll, taxes, hiring, major purchases, and slower collection periods.

Cash flow forecasting

We build a forecast from the information available in your books and operating plan. The model can include expected collections, recurring expenses, payroll, tax payments, financing, and planned one-time items. The forecast is updated on the schedule defined in your engagement.

Management dashboards

A useful dashboard should answer a small set of recurring questions. Depending on the business, that may include revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, receivables, cash balance, backlog, utilization, project performance, or results by entity.

Monthly advisory review

Reporting becomes more useful when someone explains the changes and assigns follow-up work. Advisory engagements can include a scheduled review of actual results, forecast changes, cash pressure, overdue receivables, and upcoming decisions.

What this service requires

  • Monthly bookkeeping must be current and materially complete.
  • Management must provide known plans and assumptions that are not recorded in the ledger.
  • The business must identify the decisions and measures the report should support.
  • Forecasts are planning tools, not guarantees of future results.

A practical first project

Start with one decision. Examples include whether cash can support a hire, how a delayed customer payment affects the next eight weeks, or which projects are contributing to margin. We use that decision to define the first forecast or dashboard rather than building a report with unused metrics.
